Commercial - Stock Fish

We can supply all coldwater fish for both ornamental and commercial use. Water parks and estates often keep brightly coloured koi carp and golden orfe which greatly enhance the aesthetics of the water. Fish bring a different dimension to pools and ponds and offer tremendous therapeutic value for staff and customers alike.

COMMON CARP (Cyprinus carpio)
Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

For lakes, rivers and commercial fisheries we can supply the full range of coarse, ornamental and game fish including carp, tench, roach, bream, barbel, chub and trout. Most commercial still waters favour a good stock of fast growing fish such as carp and bream with a selection of silver fish.

The benefit of stocking different species which feed on the bottom layers of the water such as carp and bream, as well as mid to surface feeding fish such as rudd and roach, is that the complete water column is utilised and the food available from the surface to the bottom is consumed, maximising the growth of fish and productivity of the water.

Grass Carp (Ctenopharygodon idella)

Waters which have less commercial value are better stocked with low impact species which do not feed intensively in the bottom sediments. Species such as rudd, tench and crucian carp will allow a full range of aquatic plants to thrive and in turn maximise the diversity of invertebrates and animals present. These waters can happily provide mixed pleasure fishing at reasonably low stocking levels.

Rudd (Fcardiniuf erythrotthalmuf)
Rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus)

We supply fish of all sizes from a few inches to several feet in length depending on personal choice and the size of the water. All species stocked into any water body other than an ornamental pond requires a stocking consent from the environment agency. We arrange these stocking consents when required. Please contact us to discuss the most suitable species and numbers for your water and a suitable stocking program.
